? Demonstration Trailer with On-Site drop test displaying forces associated with falls, and how
various shock absorbers and deceleration devices safely arrest a fall.
? Update on new OSHA & MSHA regulations and ANSI standards.
? Solutions for common fall protection problems. Fall Restraint vs Fall Arrest.
? Introduction to fall hazards and discussion on basic principles of fall prevention and protection.
? The ABC?s of personal fall arrest equipment:
o Anchorage
o Body Wear ? Full Body Harnesses
o Connecting Device ? Lanyards, Self-Retracting Lifelines, Personal Fall Limiters
? Proper equipment use, maintenance, inspection & limitation.
? Spotlight on proper harness fitting, demonstrating the effects of sliding D-ring, improper sub-pelvic
strap position, and how to avoid Suspension Trauma.
? How to properly calculate Fall Clearance & swing falls, when using Lanyards, SRLs, and PFLs.
? Rescue: Rescue & retrieval is a required component of any Fall Protection Program.
