Course Outline & Objectives:In this course we will reference the 2009 /2012/2015 IBC and IRC. We will also reference relevant code reports from ICC-ES, IAMPO, NDS and ASTM. Attendees will be able to: 1. Describe fastener importance, compare fastener sizes and types, determine load adjustments for substitutions, and fastening identification. 2. Identify the five types of base material for anchoring products. 3. Discuss common corrosion issues in the construction industry and Identify possible solutions. 4. Describe installation procedures for the mechanical anchors. 5. Demonstrate Continuous Load Path 6. Describe proper installation procedures for: - Concrete Connectors - Anchors - Caps and Bases - Shearwall - Solid Sawn Connectors - Engineered Wood and Structural Composite Lumber Connectors - Glulam Beam Connectors - Plated Truss Connectors - Masonry Connectors - Straps and Ties - Architectural Products Group
