Course Outline & Objectives:1. Understanding and Working the Credit Reporting System (Core) This presentation outlines the credit industry in fine detail. It demonstrates how personal credit information is collected and gathered into an individual credit file. Reviews how the lending and insurance industries utilize credit information for mortgages for new homebuyers, auto loans, credit cards and other lines of credit. This presentation increases the understanding of general contractors so as to better recognize how the finance and credit industry functions which can help them better manage their finances. 2. The Extra Cost / Loss of Purchasing Power of a Credit Score (Core) Most every consumer, home buyer and business owner does not know the true costs associated with a less than extra credit rating. When consumers and business owners have less than excellent credit rating, their purchasing power declines and the costs accelerate. This presentation reviews the research and data to highlight the challenges many consumers and business owners face. These costs can be thousands of dollars annually. It highlights what is considered an excellent credit standing and the extra costs to potential homebuyers, consumers, and business owners, and the potential increase in purchasing power on homes when credit ratings improve.
