2017 NEC UPDATE 8 Hour Class
Course Description
This 2017 National Electrical Code class is an action-packed class designed to
allow active participation in the importance and use of the National Electrical Code
for all users and interested parties, including, but not limited to journeyman electricians,
master electricians, electrical contractors, building owners, property managers, insurance personnel, inspectors, building officials and other interested parties.
Method of Presentation
Laptop computer using PowerPoint slides; Document Reader, Flip charts; Whiteboard;
Lecture, practical illustrations, calculations and written problems/examples. Books
which may be used include the 2017 National Electrical Code, Analysis of the 2017
National Electrical Code and others. Notepads, pens, pencils, highlighters included.
Objective
To provide and understanding of the 2017 National Electrical Code. This class
will each the students how to properly use the 2017 NEC; how to size conductors
for specific applications; how to correctly select overcurrent devices; how to correctly
specify and select raceways; how to use the NEC in practical applications in the
workplace.

1) Minimum Size Class 1 Student
2) Maximum Size Class 50 Students or maximum stipulated by State of Oklahoma
3) Student Cost; $ 150.00 per student for each 8 credit hour class
4) Student NO-SHOW Policy; NO-SHOW; NO CREDIT
5) Make-up Policy; Students are allowed 180 days maximum to make-up class due to
A) NO-SHOW
B) Credit will not be given until class is made-up in full
6) Cancellation Policy; Student Cancellation;
A) If cancellation is provided within 30 days 90% refund
B) If cancellation is provided within 14 days 50% refund
C) If cancellation is not provided (NO SHOW) no refund; however,
make-up is permitted. See #4 above.

OBJECTIVE: NATIONAL CODE SEMINARS is a training company specializing in providing training for licensing renewal for electricians, engineers and others needing continuing education hours related to their profession. National Code Seminars is approved by 34 states and numerous cities to provide continuing education hours for license renewal.
National Code Seminars also provides other training related to OSHA and other standards, such as NFPA.
It is the goal of NATIONAL CODE SEMINARS to provide the highest quality training to all students.
NATIONAL CODE SEMINARS provides technical training on the subject material specific to the training class; i.e., 2014/2017 National Electrical Code, using the
appropriate edition of the NEC and the Analysis of the NEC by IAEI.
