| Course Outline & Objectives: | This eight contact hour course is to provide continuing education for certified elevator inspectors, which will include the following:
¨ Update on current local Statutes and Administrative Codes governing elevators.
¨ Very brief overview of ASME A17.1 through A17.7, QEI-1, A18.1, and the applicable sections of the effective IBC and NFPA codes.
¨ Presentation on emergency rescue of persons trapped in elevator for elevator personnel, following ASME A17.4, Guide for Emergency Personnel, 2015 Edition.
¨ Presentation on changes to ASME A17.3, Safety Code for Existing Elevators and Escalators ? 1996 to 2015 Editions.
¨ Review of changes in ASME A17.1, Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators, 2013 Edition. |
