| Course Outline & Objectives: | When YESCO co-owner, Jeffrey Young, went on Undercover Boss, he hoped to learn more about his custom electric-sign company. Once in disguise, Jeffrey went undercover to meet the employees who were keeping the lights on at his family?s ever-growing business. His eye-opening experience helped him learn important lessons: He learned how to run his family business better, how to retain valuable employees, how to fix company policies that were hurting company morale, how to keep management and labor connected, and how to foster the culture you want in YOUR company.

| Instructor Resume: | Jeff is Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Young Electric Sign Company (YESCO) and is the grandson of Thomas Young Sr., who founded YESCO in 1920. YESCO celebrates its 97th birthday this year. Jeff and his two brothers Mike and Paul are grateful to work with their father Thomas Young Jr. who is in his 75th year with the company. Jeff began working at YESCO in 1980. Jeff graduated with a Master?s degree in Business Administration from the University of Utah, along with a Certificate of International Business. Jeff obtained his undergraduate degree in Business Management with a minor in Japanese. Currently Jeff recently concluded his position as President of the World Sign Associates in 2015 and is the 2017 Chairman of the International Sign Association. Jeff is also a member of the Board of Directors for Fetzer Architectural Woodwork. Jeff was recently featured in the Emmy Award winning CBS series Undercover Boss in January of 2016. He enjoys boating, water skiing, snow skiing, hiking, and scuba diving. Jeff has been married 28 years and has five children. |
