Course Name:NFPA 70E - Electrical Safety in the Workplace
Course Outline & Objectives:Based on the 2018 Edition of NFPA 70E, this 8-hour course will cover the safety considerations and workplace requirements that must be made when employees may be exposed to electrical hazards while installing, operating, maintaining, or inspecting electrical equipment.  The course is designed to help maintenance personnel, electricians, engineers, contractors, supervisors, and inspectors improve the electrical safety of their work environment.   This course will be taught over one day. Some of the topics to be covered during this one day course include OSHA requirements, identifying electrical hazards & safety concepts, electrical safety programs, worker training, shock & arc flash approach boundaries, performing a hazard/risk analysis, establishing electrically safe work conditions, working on energized circuits, and choosing, inspecting, & donning personal protective equipment (PPE). The course will consist of classroom instruction and hands-on demonstrations.
