Instructor Resume: Bob [Morris], electrical instructor and contractors advisory board member, is a Master Electrician with over 35 years of full-time experience in the field. Bob's experience spans Residential, Commercial, and Industrial Construction along with service troubleshooting repair. Bob's career in the electrical industry began in Southern California in 1979 with Local 11 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). He completed his [National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee] (NJATC) certified apprenticeship program in 1983, passed the California State Contractors Electrical License Exam in 1988, Utah State Master Electrician Exam in 1995 and became a Licensed Contractor in the State of Utah in 1996. Bob taught electrical apprentice evening classes at Dixie State College from 1995 to 2007 and was an instructor through the transition to the current program with Dixie Applied Technical College (DXATC). He also taught continuing education classes as the owner of Bob Morris Seminars from 2000 through 2007. Last year he received his 35 year pin from the Local 354 of the IBEW. In 2015 he rejoined the DXATC program and is currently teaching the 4th year apprentice class. With 14 years of teaching experience, and as the qualifying employee at Red Mountain Electric, Bob brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for the industry to the classroom.
