Course Outline & Objectives:This course is intended to meet the requirement for 4 hours of core training on NFPA 70E. The objective is to provide training on the essential general requirements for working safely on or around electrical equipment. Specifically, methods of assessing and reducing the risk of exposure to electrical shock and arc flash injuries are the primary focus of this course. The course will be based on the 2021 edition of NFPA 70E.

Instructor Resume: Doug Smith is a certified Master Code Professional and is a building inspector for Kaysville City, Utah. He has been employed as a building inspector for Kaysville City for over 7 years. In the course of his career, Doug has obtained many International Code Council (ICC) certifications including: Combination Inspector, Combination Plans Examiner, Certified Building Official, and Master Code Professional.
