| Course Outline & Objectives: | 2021 NFPA 70E: We will discuss electrical safety, including arc-flash hazards in a positive proactive format. We will introduce or refresh safe work practices to mitigate the hazards identified in every day electrical overcurrent device equipment, create awareness of the potential hazards and describe workable solutions by which these hazards can be controlled, minimized or eliminated saving the employee from injury and the employer from liability. Reference material used in this class will be NFPA 70e, Bussman Safety BASICs handbook for Electrical Safety, Electrical Safety-Related Work Practices by apprenticeship training. |
