Course Outline & Objectives:STATE OF UTAH CONTINUING EDUCATION CORE AND PROFESSIONAL COURSE OBJECTIVES PROVIDER: SHAMROCK PLUMBING,LLC INSTRUCTORS: ROB ALLEN, LIC NUMBER 139963-5518  BOB HOLLEY, EXECUTIVE COACH DOPL now requires 12 hours of Continuing Education in each renewal cycle prior to renewing Plumbing Licenses. Apprentices enrolled and attending Apprenticeship classes during this time period already meet this requirement and are not required to attend the CE classes.These classes are designed to help keep Journeyman Plumbers up-to-date in the current Code. Some of you received your license while working under the UPC, and while the rest may have tested to the IPC codes, it is hard to keep up with changes without additional education. At the completion of 8 hours of  ?Core? and 4 hours of  ?Professional? education you will receive in these classes, you will: Have a better understanding of what the current code requires for the installation of the   Plumbing system. Understand the theory of how and why the system is designed and how it functions. Learn what section of the code contains the answers to any code questions. Learn what addendum?s the State of Utah has adopted and how they affect the current code. Learn techniques and practices to enable you to:  Communicate effectively with the general contractor, co-workers and the other trades.  Plan an effective course of action working toward the successful completion of the job.
