In this course you will learn how to reduce light pollution through the specification and installation of dark sky friendly fixtures. You will also learn how to identify and comply with dark sky codes and ordinances.

Instructor Resume: Joseph (Jody) is a professional lighting designer at Spectrum Engineers in Salt Lake City. Before joining Spectrum, he was the International Director of R&D at Strand Lighting. Jody is the recipient of nearly 50 international awards for his work in design and sustainability. He is Past President of the Illuminating Engineers Society (IES) and the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP). Recently Jody was named a ?Utah Green Pioneer? by Utah Business Magazine.
