4-hour overview of the significant changes for the 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC model code) using a PowerPoint presentation. This course will provide the minimum requirements for individuals who hold a State of Utah Electrical License needing CC (Code change) CEU credits. This training will cover Chapters 3 & 4 of the 2023 NEC.
Course Objectives:
The presentation will provide significant changes to the 2023 NEC model code
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and open discussion for what effect the code change is attempting to clarify and how it affects electrical installations.

Article 300, General Requirements .5 hour
Article 310, Conductors for Wiring .5 hour
Article 312, cabinets & Boxes, .25-hour
Article 314, Outlet, Device, Junction Boxes, .25-hour
Article 334, Non-Metallic Cable .5 hour
Coffee Break .25-hour
Article 404, Switches, .25-hour
Article 406, Receptacles, .5 hour
Article 410, Luminaires, .25-hour,
Article 422, Appliances, .25-hour,
Article 440, Air Conditioning Equipment, .5 hour
Materials Required:
Current adopted 2023 NEC (NFPA-70) model code
Materials Provided:
In-class presentation using the 2023 Analysis of Changes PowerPoint Slides.
Course Attendees
This course is designed for all licensed electricians. This training will be for Utah licensed electricians needing 4-hours of National Electrical Code Changes. Additionally, the training is open to others such as engineers, apprentices or other interested parties.
Course Documentation
Upon competition of the training, 4 hours of Code Change CEU's will be submitted to the State of Utah within 20 working days.
A sign-in roster will be maintained for 5-years and made available upon request
Course survey forms will be given to attendees and will be maintained for 5-years and made available upon request.
Certificates of Completion will be emailed to attendees who have completed the training.
