| Course Outline & Objectives: | Utah Residential Code Update, HVAC Provisions, State Amendments and Energy Code Training
Building Codes adopted in the 2023 Legislative Session included the 2021 International Residential Code (IRC), with an exception for the residential energy code. As Utah skipped adoption of the 2018 IRC, this course includes a brief review of significant building, plumbing, and electrical changes found in 2018 and 2021 IRC, with a primary focus on the HVAC provisions in the mechanical and fuel gas chapters. Also included is a review of the 2015 Residential IECC Energy code and key state amendments. Questions and comments are encouraged.
