Course Outline & Objectives:Correctly sizing HVAC systems ensures thermal comfort, affordability, and satisfaction of clients. This workshop covers the fundamental principles used in load calculations and duct sizing to ensure an accurate system size is selected. Upon successful completion of this workshop, students will be able to: 1. Explain the physics of latent and sensible heat how they relate to human comfort 2. Describe the code requirements for ventilation 3. Describe the relationship between R-values and U-values 4. Describe HVAC design factors that impact heating and cooling loads 5. Identify guidelines for proper duct design
