She is director of USU's Center for Water Efficient Landscaping, board member and past president of the Utah Water Conservation Forum, and board member of the national Alliance for Water Efficiency. He aims to evaluate and understand physiological, morphological, and biochemical responses of various ornamentals subjected to irrigation with unconventional water sources and develop effective techniques to protect surface and groundwater resources by reducing agrochemicals runoff.
