Course Outline & Objectives: | This is a 40 hour course that covers installation of medical gas facilities as detailed in NFPA 99 Health Care Facilities Code text. This course covers all aspects of the code with a written exam that must be passed by a score of 77%.
The hands-on portion is two brazed copper couplings, one in the vertical position and the other in the horizontal position. These test joints are sent to NITC (National Inspection and Testing Corp) for a third party inspection and test. Upon successful completion of all 40 hours of in-class instruction, completion of the written exam with a satisfactory score, and performance of brazed copper, the attendee will be a certified medical gas installer and brazer. |
