| Course Outline & Objectives: | This course is designed to give a comprehensive review of Electrical work in Utah. At the completion of this course it will qualify for 16 hours of core continuing education (CE) hours in the Electrical industry. We will be discussing and going over NEC topics such as:
Load Calculations
Motor Installation and sizing
Overcurrent Protection
Conductor Sizing and deration
Grounding and Bonding
Pools and Hot tubs
Available working spaces
Hazardous Locations
Conduit and Box Fill
In addition, this course will be going over Electrical Theory and Calculations, which will include the following:
Voltage drop
Series and Parallel Circuits
Single and three phase transformer calcaculations
Inductance
Capacitance
Ohm's law
Reactance
Available fault current and everything else you will need to know to install a safe electrical system
The final topic of this course will be a review of the NEC amendments for the State of Utah. |
