Course Outline & Objectives:Objectives: To improve participants understanding of drainage, waste and vent installation, with emphasis on proper venting methods. Description This class focusses on International Plumbing Code Chapter 7 Sanitary Drainage and Chapter 9 Vents. Requirements for drainage installation are discussed. Venting methods including individual vents, common vents, wet vents, circuit vents, waste stack vents, combination waste and vent, island fixture vents, single stack vents and air admittance valves are all discussed in detail. Violations, improper venting methods and common mistakes in venting are also discussed. Outline: - Explanation of proper installation of drains according to Chapter 7 - Explanation and illustrations of venting methods described in chapter 9 - Discussion of applications of venting methods - Examples of violations and common mistakes of venting methods.
