Course Outline & Objectives:Course Outline: Day 1 (8) hours of NEC training, (2) four hour blocks with a lunch break in between. Topics covered will be: General Understanding of NFPA 70 and how it relates to OSHA The arrangement of NFPA 70 Updates and and changes incorporated by the 2020 version, with a summary list Chapter 2: Wiring and Protection Chapter 3: Wiring Methods and Materials. Day 2 4 hour section covering the below NEC topics Chapter 4: Equipment for General Use Chapter 5: Special Occupanies Chapter 7: Special Conditions (Briefly discussed) Chapter 9: Tables Break 4 hours of NFPA 70E training Electrical safety, emphasis on arc flash OSHA relevance and applicability NFPA 70E 2024, Personal Protective Equipment Risk Analyses, how to accomplish, simplify Using the 70E tables Course Objectives: Gain a greater understanding of the NEC and the changes incorporated in the 2023 version Gain an understanding of NFPA 70E 2024 Gain familiarity with the relationship between OSHA, NEC, and NFPA 70E Become comfortable at performing Risk Analyses Keep yourself, your employees, and your company safe.
