Course Name: | Qualities & Traits that Make a Good Foreman |
Course Outline & Objectives: | In this class, we will review and discuss the historical perception of the craftsman goals and how this has evolved over the years. Why people are motivated to become a foreman and why people do not desire to become a foreman. We will discuss what is required of a foreman in the current demanding construction industry today. Today, more than ever, we are faced with compressed schedules, difficult people, and a culture that is challenging to handle the varying personalities under pressure from your customers to your own crew.
We will discuss how to identify what may be missing in current relationships and the classic types that you may have encountered in your career.
We will review and discuss the top 10 traits and/or skills for a foreman to be successful and how these will apply to achieving a positive outcome for you and your project. |
