Course Outline & Objectives: | This course will open with a discussion on the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code, Commercial Provisions adopted by the Utah Legislature, effective July 1, 2024, with a primary focus on the mechanical section in the IECC. Discussion on significant changes in the 2021 code, including data centers, fault detection/diagnostics, outdoor space heating limits, and HVAC controls and equipment performance.
This course will also focus on significant changes in the 2021 International Mechanical & Fuel Gas Codes. Subjects will include exhaust air outlet and air intake locations, demand-controlled ventilation, factory-built grease duct slope, ERVs, duct and piping insulation, refrigerants, press-connect joints, and vent system terminations. |
