Course Outline & Objectives:Learning Summary The Point development in Draper, Utah, is one of the largest planned urban projects in the state and serves as a model for large-scale construction in the Intermountain region. This session reviews how concrete is specified and implemented in infrastructure, buildings, and transportation systems, with emphasis on building requirements, local ordinances, and ACI and IBC standards. Participants will learn how compliance, durability, and sustainable practices are being applied at this site and how these lessons can be used on other projects across Utah. Learning Objectives At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to Identify the key concrete applications being used in The Point development. Explain how ACI, IBC, and municipal requirements influence design, mix selection, and placement practices. Apply lessons from The Point project to improve quality control and sustainability in future concrete construction projects.
