| Course Outline & Objectives: | Understanding 2024 NFPA 70E helps employees protect themselves and their colleagues from injury due to electrical hazards. Student will learn about the different hazards and the causes and dangers presented by each. Then, learn how to prevent injury through processes and protective equipment. Learn how different standards, programs and procedures improve electrical safety in the workplace. Finally, learn about all the annexes that support the standard.
In 2023 the NFPA 70B became a standard instead of a recommended practice. In the 2026 NFPA 70B the student will learn about electrical preventive maintenance, the difference levels of electrical equipment conditions and what must be done to access, track and prevent electrical equipment for causing a catastrophic failure or even an unplanned expensive down time event.
