Course Name:Installation Training w/1hr NRG Conserv
Course Outline & Objectives:The overall objective of this course is to train installers and inspectors on the current codes for installation of manufactured homes. In addition, we cover state and federal law as well as building theory to give the participant a full picture of the technical aspects of manufactured home installation. OUTLINE 1. Tawny Peyton will discuss industry and association updates. Particularly, changes in federal rules and statutes that relate to the installation of manufactured housing. She will also discuss state laws, as applicable. (Approx. 30 minutes). 2. Frank Rodriguez will train on manufactured/modular home installations while referencing industry specific setup materials (installation guide, setup material directions, etc.). He will provide education relative to modular/manufactured housing installations which will include training of the project process and the proper use of installation specific products (Oliver technologies representative to assist). Frank will also introduce/discuss the installation of non-traditional modular construction types (multi-story, commercial, residential over retail, and multi-family).

In 1990 He formed a training company called Manufactured Housing Resources to teach the proper installation of Manufactured Housing. Since then his programs have been given in nearly every State and used by nearly every manufacturer of HUD Code homes in the industry. At the present time his training program is the licensing and certification program in many states and he has written two books on the subject, The Manufactured Housing Installation Guide and Manufactured Housing Installation and Repair. Mr. Porter has written over 100 articles for industry trade publications and has given his installation seminar to over 10,000 installers in the United States and three cities in Japan. He is considered to be the national authority on the proper installation of HUD Code homes and has participated in nearly all government programs concerning them.
