Course Outline & Objectives:Join AGC of Utah for the 22nd Annual Southern Utah Safety Conference & Expo. The conference will bring construction professionals, safety leaders, government representatives, and industry partners together for a day of practical safety education and networking. The event will include breakfast, four educational sessions, a morning keynote presentation, vendor exhibits, lunch, the Southern Utah Safety Awards, and prize drawings. Topics will include the financial and human cost of workplace incidents, preparing safety programs for larger public and private projects, updates from Utah Occupational Safety and Health, suicide prevention, and protecting workers from heat-related hazards.

Instructor Resume: Brett started his insurance career in 2004 as an intern while attending Southern Utah University. Upon graduation, he moved his young family to Heber City, UT where he was the only commercial insurance employee. Wearing all insurance hats for those five years taught him a lot. In 2010, He and his wife moved home to St. George, UT. They are raising four active and independent kids. They are extremely active in the business, adventure, sports, theater and music cultures of Southern Utah. Brett has achieved the exclusive Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Risk Management (CRM) designations. He serves on the board of directors for the Utah Independent Insurance Agents Association and on the exclusive Liberty Mutual Regional Agents Panel. He has a passion for preventing problems, protecting the public and providing vast insurance industry resources when catastrophe strikes.
