Course Outline & Objectives:AETech Electrical Training Center Course: 2014 NEC Electrical Industry Wiring Methods 8 hour class Schedule: 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. each day; sign-in starts at 7:30 a.m. Format: Lecture format using Power Point slides including Mike Holt?s ?Understanding the 2014 National Electrical Code?, ?Exam Prep book and in-class discussions based on the 2014 National Electrical Code. Text book: 2014 National Electrical Code Instructor: Steve Arne: Certified Technical Educator, Licensed Electrical Contractor, Master Electrician, Licensed Electrical Inspector, SD Electrical Commission Board Member Criteria used to identify successful course completion: Daily attendance sign-in sheets and instructor observation of attendance/application. Objectives: Provide an emphasis on finding and understanding NEC requirements in regard to industrial, commercial and residential wiring methods used in electrical installations. NEC Overview and Introduction: Articles 90, 100, 110 HOURS 1-4 Branch Circuits, Feeders: Articles 210, 215, 230, 240 Wiring Methods: Articles 314, 330, 334, 344, 352, 392 BREAK FOR 1 HOUR LUNCH HOURS 5-8 Wiring Devices: Articles 404, 406, 408 Equipment: Articles 410, 430, 450 Classified Locations: Articles 500, 501, 502, 503 *additional topics from the NEC will be covered as applicable

Instructor Resume: Steve Arne Technical  Educator Arne Electro Tech Rapid City, SD ElectricalMaster.com     Steve Arne has worked in various positions in the electrical industry since 1974, including electrician, electrical contractor, and full-time instructor and department chair in technical postsecondary education. Steve has developed and taught curriculum for many electrical training courses as well as university business and leadership courses. He completed a Bachelors degree in Technical Education at DSU and a Masters Degree in Administrative Studies at USD.  Steve is licensed in SD as an Electrical Contractor, Master Electrician, and Electrical Inspector.   Steve now provides electrician continuing education Code Classes in South Dakota, Wyoming and surrounding states through his own company, Arne Electro Tech. He also edits electrical training books and materials for Electrical Code Expert Mike Holt.     Steve is a newly appointed member of the SD Electrical Commission representing electrical education. He is active in the SD Electrical Council, and has served on the State Board as well as the Board of the Black Hills Chapter.   Steve and Deb Arne live in Rapid City, South Dakota where they’re both active in their church and community, and love to spend time with their children and grandchildren. Steve and Deb both endeavor to put God first in their lives and in their home.
