After graduating from law school, Michael practiced management-side labor and employment law at the prestigious labor and employment boutique of Kamer Zucker & Abbott in Las Vegas, Nevada. After graduating from BYU in 2000, he worked as a superintendent, estimator, and project manager for a national construction firm before being introduced to Lean Construction concepts in 2007. Lean helped his team reduce direct costs by 13% and reduce schedule time by 40% - all while improving quality. Because of this success and a new enthusiasm for Lean, Rob left the industry in 2009 to pursue a teaching career at UVU where he devoted hours of academic study to Lean Construction.
