DOPL requires 4 hours of NFPA 70E as part of the CE Requirements for electricial license renewal. This course offers a 4 hour compilation of the most up to date methods of electricial safety. NFPA 70E Standards for Electricial Safety in the Workplace is a widely accepted performance standard for electrical safety that is vital for business and workers in the electrical industry. The course correlates OSHA electricial safety rules and NFPA 70E Workplace Safety Rules providing attendees an appreciation of electrical safety implementation. Terms and definitions, dangers of shock, arc flash, arc blast, lockout tagout procedures, selecting personal protection equipment are all covered. Learning is reinforced with several case studies of actual electrical accidents including fatalities emphasizing OSHA violations and how NFPA 70E prevents such accidents. |
