Step by Step Demonstration

Renewals

Step 1

After entering the customer's license plate and the last 8 digits of their VIN, click "Renew Vehicle Registration".

Verify vehicle, owner and emissions information.

Confirm renewal amount and add any donations, as directed by the customer.

Step 3

Step 4

Enter the payment information — use the customer's credit card to process the customer's on the SPOT renewal. You have no financial obligation or accounting to do.

Step 5

Check the decal number you are assigning against the system.

Step 6

Print the registration certificate and receipt and provide it to your customer along with the decal.

Temporary Permits

NOTICE

Decals are NOT issued for Temporary Permits

Step 1

After entering the customer's license plate and the last 8 digits of their VIN, click "Issue Temporary Permit".

Step 1

Step 2

Verify the vehicle information and confirm that you have the correct customer's vehicle.

Step 2

Step 3

Enter the payment information — use the customer's credit card topay for the registration renewal and temporary permit. The customer will be charged the full registration fee along with a $6 DMV temporary permit fee.

Print the temporary permit, transaction checklist and receipt, and provide these to your customer.
Reminder: A decal is NOT issued with a Temporary Permit.
